In September 2021, students can do a module on green hydrogen as a part of the ‘HYPOS goes to school’ project in the Gustav-Hertz Gymnasium in Leipzig.

The course will inform about hydrogen, its possibilities and use as a non-polluting energy source. Students will receive information about the value chain of hydrogen from its production from renewable sources through electrolysis to the various possibilities regarding storage and transportation. Students will also learn about the new jobs in hydrogen.

The course was designed to provide information about decarbonisation and the importance of hydrogen in the ecological transition the country is undergoing.

Mareike Wald, Project Manager, said, “With the Gustav-Hertz-Gymnasium, HYPOS found a partner right from the start who is just as passionate about sustainability and green hydrogen.”

“It was a pleasure for us to prepare the complex content didactically for the pupils from 8th to 10th grade.”

“The fact that HYPOS can now go to school with a complete module as a pilot in September, despite the pandemic situation, is thanks to a very constructive collaboration and a shared view of the important issues of education in the field of the future of energy.”
