Green Hydrogen Expands to North America

First Hydrogen Energy will produce green hydrogen for the North American market. They will start the production in Canada thanks to her enormous resources of renewable energy. The Government of Canada announced the iMHZEV programme that will provide US$547.5 million of funding until 2026.

First Hydrogen aims to provide clean green hydrogen fuel, refuelling stations and zero-emission commercial vehicles. This is a “Hydrogen as-a-Service” solution that will help build zero-emission ecosystems. In order to do so, they are developing four key green hydrogen production facilities in the UK.

Their idea is to produce hydrogen nearby the areas where they will distribute it and preferably in those areas where the supply of renewable energy is guaranteed. This will also bring a reduction in pollution and contribute to stopping the climate change while reducing distribution costs.

The Canadian project will be carried out together with ARUP Canada, Inc. The consulting firm has a broad experience regarding hydrogen and engineering and is already the engineering consultant for the UK project.
