The report on the Regulation of TEN-T has been unanimously adopted. The report aims at building a modern, safe, and sustainable multimodal Transport Net in Europe.

The report favours the use of hydrogen and other fuel derived from hydrogen in all forms of EU transport. The urban nodes are redefined taking into account the commuting areas to comply with the emission reduction targets defined by the EU by 2035. The infrastructure should supply the new fuel forms; therefore Hydrogen Europe supports the inclusion of the alternative fuel infrastructure requirements in compliance with the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR) in the TEN-T Net.

Ports are going to work as energy hubs; however, in order to do so, infrastructures for the production, distribution, reception, and storage of hydrogen shall be built, which calls for investment. The geostrategic importance of ports is key to accessing EU funds.
